How to women dress for church services

A great church outfit is one that makes you feel comfortable and also fits into the standards of your church community. Some churches lean more towards casual clothing, while others have more formal dress codes. Most churches, however, expect worshipers and guests to wear what makes them feel prepared to worship. Whatever the dress code is, though, you should feel comfortable enough to actively participate in the services in your outfit!

  1. Think modest and conservative when picking out your outfit. While church is a social gathering, it’s not a party or a night out with your friends. Families of all different ages attend church and many churches are still conservative, so make sure to dress appropriately. You should eliminate backless or low-cut dresses, spaghetti straps, tank tops, or anything that shows your midriff.
-Just because it has to be modest, does not mean it can’t be fashionable. Just make sure to not leave a lot of your skin exposed.
-Overly glitzy jewelry or expensive accessories should also be avoided
  2. Do not wear anything that rises above the knee. When picking out a dress, consider one that’s a bit longer. Although, dresses do not have to be down to the ankle like they were expected to be in times past.
-While there is not any exact measurement that’s appropriate, make sure to avoid showing too much of your body or dressing in a way that would send signals that go against your tenets of the faith.
  3. Refrain from wearing anything transparent. Wearing darker, non-lace tops can prevent you from wearing something that’s see through.
  4. Wear black pants if you don’t like dresses. While it is expected in certain faiths that women wear dresses, a pair of dark pants will typically also work.
-You can pair your black pants with a dark top and blazer to stay stylish but conservative.
-Avoid wearing stretch pants/leggings or jeans.
  5. Wear heels or flats when attending service. Sneakers are not appropriate shoes for Sunday morning services. Pick out your best pair of heels when going to church, just make sure the heel is lower than 3 inches (not high stilettos-type). Pumps compliment pencil skirts or pants. If heels aren’t your thing, flats are also appropriate.
-Coordinate your shoe color with your outfit, but avoid loud colors like a deep red or bright pinks and greens. The focus should not be on you, but on the Lord.
  6. Be aware of specific traditions in certain faiths. Some denominations or sects have specific traditions and customs that women must follow when attending service. For instance, in the Apostolic Church, women are required to wear hats while they are in church.
-While it may not get you kicked out of the church, violating these customs can be disrespectful to the people who practice that faith.
-Research the denomination online or on your church’s website if you are unsure on what the appropriate attire is.

What Mixes Well With Lavender Essential Oil?

Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular aromatherapy oils on the market. It is touted as being the “Mother of All Oils” for good reasons. Not only does it have some amazing benefits but lavender essential oil mixes well with many other oils.
Obviously what smells good to one person may not smell good to another so it is important to take your personal oily enjoyments into account. It is also important to keep an open mind because when blending essential oils there is a wonderful thing called synergy that happens that can lead to something beautiful!
Let’s explore lavender and mixing essential oils a little more before we get into what blends well with lavender essential oil.
What are the Different Types of Lavender Essential Oil?
We have to look at the different types of lavender oil to make sure that we are on the same page. There are three main types available on the marketplace, this is where the botanical names really help you know what you are buying.
True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a floral and herbal aroma. For this post, we are referencing this type of lavender. It is the most common in aromatherapy and its versatility is truly amazing.
Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia) has a high percentage of 1,8- Cineole and Camphor which is why the aroma is reminiscent of Eucalyptus and Ravensara.
Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) is a hybrid of them both True Lavender and Spike Lavender and will have elements from both oils.
What is Essential Oil Synergy?
A synergy essential oil blend is two or more essential oils working together for a greater benefit then the total of their individual effects. Kinda magical right 😉
When blending essential oils together, each oil can have an enhancing effect on the other oils in the blend. You get more bang for your buck, so to speak.
What is Your Goal for Blending Essential Oils?
From my perspective, lavender oil can be added to almost any other essential oil because I really love it. When using essential oils, keep in mind your intent for the blend you are mixing.
For example, if you want a relaxing blend for bedtime, find complementary essential oils for sleep. Have a headache try lavender with peppermint.
What Blends Well With Lavender Essential Oil?
There are lots of essential oils that are good to mix with lavender, it really depends on what you will use it for and/or what essential oils you find enjoyable. The nice thing about Lavender is that it is a multipurpose essential oil so it can blend with just about anything. With that being said, I am sharing my favorite lavender essential oil blends so they could differ from yours .

Beach clothes and style fashion

Beach clothes and style are not just restricted to bikinis and rompers. Of course, it depends on what you’re doing at the beach. If you’re tanning and taking a dip, of course you need a swimsuit, but if you’re traveling and exploring you can wear a dress, skirt, or other cute beach clothes.
When packing for a beach vacation, I specifically look for stylish beach attire that will look beautiful on and off the beach. Yes, an off-the-shoulder swimsuit is a pretty cute choice as well, but there will be some days when you’re exploring a beach town and not necessary spending your entire day on the sand.
Beach Fashion Tips
Elevate your beach style with these beach fashion tips:
Sandals are a must; you can wear some classic Havaianas or opt for something more classy like the sandals I’m wearing in this post. Keep in mind what you’ll be doing and how long you’re going to be walking for. Comfort is key, so don’t wear uncomfortable sandals when exploring a beach town. I was tempted to wear cute wedges with this dress, but it’s unrealistic.
Instead of tons of statement jewelry with a bevy of diamonds, opt for natural jewelry. I wore beaded bracelets in beachy colors with some pieces in natural shapes, like a leaf necklace and bracelet.
A good pair of sunglasses is crucial! Besides shielding your eyes from the blaring sun, you can use them to conceal tired eyes. Traveling is hard on the body and your sleep patterns and if you’re not catching your because of jet lag or partying all night, a big pair of dark sunglasses are an essential!
If you’re all about the itsy bitsy teeny yellow polka dot bikini, then more power to you. But if you want beach clothes that are a bit more reserved, pack a caftan, cover-up, or a fun printed dress. When packing, you’re looking for pieces that you can layer over a swimsuit and are comfortable enough to be in all day if need be. Dresses are always a great beach option.
If you don’t like wearing dresses, wear separates such as a pair of chino shorts in a solid or print and a cute “beach top.”
